New Soroptimist Officers Celebrate Bonds Between Women
With the inspiring theme, “Nurturing Bonds Between Women Strengthens Us All,”
Soroptimist International of Vacaville installed its 2025–2026 board of officers at a celebratory dinner on June 17.

Co-Presidents Yvonne Thrasher and Debi Schrader were officially inducted during the evening’s ceremony, led by Founder Region Governor-elect Jackie DeVries. A past president and longtime member of the Vacaville club, Jackie conducted the installation, symbolically connecting the board members with daisy chains — a gesture of unity and sisterhood.

Outgoing Co-Presidents Clara Oakes and Mary Dickey played a key role in the transition, pinning the new co-presidents before receiving their past president pins in recognition of their service.
The new leadership team will officially begin their term in July. Weekly Tuesday meetings will resume in August at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. The club continues to welcome new members and encourages those interested to learn more by visiting http://www.VacavilleSoroptimist.org. A special highlight of the evening included recognition of five club members who earned Fellowship honors: Mary Dickey, Debi Schrader, Jackie DeVries, and Diane Nunez. Connie Eizikowitz was honored in absentia. Each Fellowship award signifies a \$1,000 contribution made in the recipient’s name to support scholarships for women pursuing doctoral degrees — a lasting investment in women’s education and empowerment.
